Swinton House, once part of a British officer’s colony, is named after Samuel Swinton Jacob, a British army officer and architect who designed notable landmarks like the Taj Rambagh Palace, Albert Hall Museum, and Laxmi Vilas Palace. Designed by Abhigyan Neogi and Kanika Gupta of Gurugram-based Chromed Design Studio, the bar and kitchen blend traditional Rajasthani mansion aesthetics with British style. Albion, the high-energy lounge, features a striking 7-foot free-fall chandelier at its entrance and offers two speakeasy rooms upon request. A spiral staircase adorned with rock panels leads to the whiskey bar, which boasts a 15-foot high ceiling, Renaissance painting, and a unique chandelier resembling a human holding a light. The space is highlighted by marble inlays, traditional British gold mouldings, and an exotic marble bar with mirrors. Chef Prince Beniwal, who has sought inspiration across 67 destinations in India and Asia, brings a diverse range of ingredients and flavors to the menu.
